Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest
Wyoming Winners

The National Museum of Wildlife Art is proud to be the State Receiving Site for the Wyoming Competition of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program. Each year we receive on average 550 entries from around the state. One hundred ribbons are awarded.

The Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest was developed in 1990 with the support of a grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The contest uses art to teach the importance of conserving our national wetlands and to expand knowledge of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp as a conservation program. It targets the youth in public and private schools in grades K - 12 for participation in activities that will lead to a greater awareness of our nation's living resources. It especially enables inner-city and cross-cultural students to experience hands-on, creative, educational activities.

The goal of the Federal Junior Duck Stamp Conservation and Design Program is to educate a new generation of the public about the importance of waterfowl and wetlands conservation.

The 1st - 3rd place winners statewide, and honorable mention winners from Teton County, Wyoming, are exhibited at the National Musuem of Wildlife Art. For more information regarding exhibit schedules, please contact  Amy Goicoechea, Associate Curator of Education (see contact information listed below).
